Clifford Musical Memory Games
If I may correct you about one thing, Arthur Rubinstein was one pianist who did NOT struggle with memorization. He was known to have a photographic memory. He would remember a musical score down to the coffee stains on the page. I believe he once memorized the Franck Symphonic Variations on the train on the way to the concert at which he performed it! Hard to believe! As he got older he stopped pulling stunts like that. And even he had a memory lapse once in a while, but not often!
And as for those treasured times we shared when sleep refused to come . . .! We'd tell each other stories. We'd make up songs -- whole musical extravaganzas replete with bed sheet costumes and mattress tap dances -- all performed in giggling whispers, for we were well aware of the consequences should our nocturnal games be discovered. 2ff7e9595c
